The CDNZ Database

The CDNZ Database is on a separate site for security reasons and can be accessed via the following link:

Overview

The CDNZ database allows a user to search:​
​

• a person's name or ​
• a business/company or other entity name

to see whether they have been scheduled to appear before any of the following courts.

• The New Zealand Supreme Court
• The New Zealand Court of Appeal
• The New Zealand High Court

​The extent of the information provided is not available from any other public search resource.  ​

Important information

• ​Only court lists for the above courts are available.  New Zealand District Court matters are not published online and are not included in the CDNZ Database.
  
• CDNZ Database records go back to May 2018.  ​
• The only form of identification for a person is their name.  No DOB or address information is available.
• Court outcomes are not provided in the database. Therefore no guilt/innocence or any other assumptions should be made.
• The CDNZ Database shows details of all the people involved in a court matter if they are provided in the daily court lists.  This means that both Applicants and Respondents to a particular matter can be listed. 

Free / Paid searches

It is necessary to create an account to be able to conduct searches. 

Free searches can be conducted to determine whether a name is in the database.

Paid access from only $9.90 for 1 month of unlimited searches is then necessary to see record details.

What the records show

All CDNZ Database records show:

• The Date
• The Court
• The Case Title
• A URL to view the original court PDF.​

The URL link will take you to a copy of the original published court list PDF. Please see this link on how to best access those PDFs.

Database Alerts

Alerts can be created in the CDNZ Database for a person's name or a that of a business. 

After creating an Alert, you will receive an email whenever a future record for that same name is added to the database.

This is an ideal option if you want to keep track of any new records for one or more people and/or companies.

Any registered user of the CDNZ database can create an Alert.
