​Identifying someone's court attendances can often be quite relevant to insurance claims.

Whilst not every state court provides details of the offence/s for which a person was before the courts, for those that do it can be quite informative.  

For example:

• a drink-driving court appearance around the time of a motor vehicle accident claim, or
• court appearances involving charges relating to honesty - fraud, stealing, deception, etc.

For matters where the court does not provide offence details, there can still often be additional information of potential value such as:

• other insurance related claims, and
• civil matters involving debt. 

A number of insurance companies use the CDA database, most of which have multiple claims officers assigned access. ​One has over 38 claims personnel accessing the CDA database daily.

Who are (or could) you be dealing with?

The CDA Database can potentially assist any organisation with not only HR pre-screening, but also individuals and businesses that could become part of that organisation's day-to-day business activities.

For example, has that company or business you are planning on using been before the a criminal court or the civil courts previously? Either as the applicant or the respondent? And, how many times?

Accessing the CDA Database

To access the CDA database, simply click the button below and create an account.  You will then receive an email with a link that needs to be activated so your email address can be verified.  Please contact us if you have any problems receiving that verification link.

​When you account is verified, you can conduct searches to see if a name is in the database and how many records there are for that name.  Upgrading to paid access will be necessary to see the actual records connected to those names.
